Just flag one down and for a very reasonable price, it will transport you to your desired destination. If you don’t think you can handle 14,000 steps, not to fear! Along the Malecón there are all kinds of golf carts and similar vehicles zipping back and forth. I followed the Malecón south, enjoying the views of the beaches, the ocean, and all of the monuments.
From there, I kept on heading north until I intersected with the Malecón, Mazatlán’s beautiful oceanfront boardwalk. First, I worked my way north, visiting all the key attractions in the historic center. Me? I pretty much did it all, zigzagging between the different routes to see as much as I could! I spent 4 hours and 14,000 steps exploring Mazatlán that day. Or follow the Circuito Olas Altas to visit out a couple of the oceanfront monuments as well as the two museums near the Malecón. Follow the Circuito Claussen to spend most of your walk along the oceanfront Malecón. Follow the Circuito Histórico and you will see all of the top attractions in the historic center, including the cathedral and the market. See a little - or a lot - of Mazatlán’s many attractionsįrom Plazuela Machado you can choose your own adventure.
